Mark’s Massive Mourvedre

I can’t say that I get too excited about $30 Washington Viognier, but there are people out there who want it and I’m more than happy to sell it to them. I do, however, have to say something about the 2008 Mark Ryan Crazy Mary Mourvedre. Mark’s version got my attention; this is a grape [More]

Blackberries and Bubbles

I have a new post on the Foodista blog about what do do with all the blackberries I just bought at the farmers market. Now I’m thinking I should just add some sugar, puree them, and make mimosas. Or get some gin. Your thoughts?

I also enjoyed a bevy of food truck offerings, my favorite being pizza from Veraci for taste and the shortness of the line. I was pleased to have a brick oven pizza with just [More]

Day One at the 2010 International Food Blogger Conference

What a whirlwind volunteering at the IFBC! Unpacked hundreds of copies of Eating Local, sliced 300 buns for Jason Wilson’s delicious black cod “BLT”, met all kinds of people, including Morgan Spurlock. Can’t wait for day two; I believe I will be opening an ungodly amount of wine bottles and assisting chefs. See you there! [More]

Meet Me at the IFBC

I’ll be volunteering for the next three days at the International Food Blogger Conference. I have no idea what I’ll be doing but I plan on having a damn good time and meeting a ton of people! Look for frequent updates on Twitter.

TGIC not TGIF

Went to lunch with my rep from TGIC at an Indian restaurant with a bevy of Argentine and Chilean wines (and one Spanish Garnacha thrown in for the hell of it). Really enjoyed the Montes Alpha Pinot and it was good with the mildly spicy cuisine. For about twenty bucks this is a pretty impressive [More]
