Christopher,

It was from April of last year. An informal, walk-around tasting/judging. I can't even remember! I think a wine from Bunnell was up there. I will attest that drinking some water, taking a break, and eating these bratwurts did help.

Thanks for your comment.

Jameson - Perhaps 58 of one variety or style is the limit? We know WA Syrah is/can be often big, extracted, tannic, oaked, and alcoholic. That's why we devise a matrix for our evaluation and yes, one-heck-of-a palate cleansing station buffet. Sometime you just have to go Brush them Pearls. Who were your "winner(s)?"

Michele,

Thank you for all your great support and comments. Have not tried Richard's new rosé. He is a fellow Lumberjack (graduate of Northern Arizona University, that is) so maybe I should seek out a bottle.

Best,

Jameson

Hi Jameson,

I know I'm showing up a lot in the comments but I swear I'm not a dangerous stalker....

I can't wait to read this book. Ordering from Amazon....today.

Also, now I know to ask about bubble availability on flights. Sweet!

For you: a mutual rosé lover. Have you had a chance to try Richard Betts, MS new rosé Essential? I was able to lay my hands on some last weekend and it is SO deelish and reasonably priced retail (about $12-$14). It's going to be my summer sipper. Hopefully, I can get a bunch more! There is a picture on my facebook page and I will be featuring it on my new weekly, The Thirsty Crowd (if you would like to join click here http://eepurl.com/v4E5n). But, I thought you might like to check this wine out if you haven't yet.

Cheers to a great week!
