I finally had a 2003 Vouvray by an incredible producer, Pichot. I was a little worried b/c it was so hot in the Loire in summer 03 that it was boiling!!! So I think low acidity and incredible concentration. Well, this wine was incredibly concentrated and flavor-packed. Explosive! And then, a kiss of sweetness. It was even better the next day. This wine would be great with some shrimp, a little melted butter, and lemon. Or oysters. YUM YUM YUM.
This wine was about 10 bucks. Try an 03 Vouvray. Today!
